THE DREAM OF EIGHT SIX ZERO WAS IMAGINED IN 2016, WHEN PAYTEN [OWNER OF EIGHT SIX ZERO SALON] WAS 19 YEARS OLD FRESH OUT OF COSMO SCHOOL. IN HER SMALL KITCHEN AT HOME, SHE WOULD ASK FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO LET HER PRACTICE THE TECHNIQUES SHE WAS LEARNING. SCARY RIGHT? WELL.. THEIR SACRIFICES SLOWLY PAID OFF. IN 2020, THAT VISION CAME TO LIFE. THROUGH A YEAR OF PANDEMIC, STRESS, AND NOT KNOWING WHAT THE FUTURE HELD, SHE GOT A CALL THAT WOULD CHANGE THE COURSE OF HER LIFE, FOREVER.
WHY EIGHT SIX ZERO? THE NAME CAME FROM THE HOUSE NUMBER OF HER CHILDHOOD HOME WHERE SHE WAS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO TURN HER DREAMS INTO A REALITY. FROM HER PARENT’S GARAGE, KITCHEN COUNTERS, AND WASHING HAIR IN THE SINK, TO A LUXURIOUS ENVIRONMENT TO KICK BACK AND RELAX. THE NAME OF THE SALON IS A DIRECT APPRECIATION TO THOSE WHO BELIEVED IN HER FUTURE AND TO HONOR THEIR SACRIFICE.

Raised in Northern California, Payten has grown up with an old soul that has impacted her day to day life. With love for the outdoors, Payten has adopted the vision of Eight Six Zero Salon to be just that. A place that sparks inspiration by being simplistic, effortlessly messy, and funky.
She has worked diligently to train to provide the best quality of work and will continue to put forth her eduction to ensure that integrity for all her clients. She strives to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience every time you sit in her chair with you being her main priority.
You will often catch her saying that her dream is to enhance and never diminish. She values natural looking color and extensions and wants her work to reflect just that. Who knows, you might just leave feeling like a spicy new gal.

Hi there, I’m Maddie! I have been in the hair industry for 5 years now and it is such a gift, I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else! I love that I can create art to make others feel beautiful, and it is so easy to do that while working at 860- it has been such a blessing.
I am originally from Peoria, Arizona and recently moved to Winters with my husband who is currently serving in the military. We don’t have kids quite yet, but we are on the journey to get there and we are hopeful! To keep us busy in the meantime we have two sweet, loving and slightly rambunctious dogs!
Outside of the salon, I’m here for the cozy vibes and creativity- I love thrifting, decorating our space at home, and being surrounded by good people! You can catch me spending most of my time at home with my husband, playing games or binge-watching shows, but every now and then I love to go out and socialize. It’s my mission to make anyone who sits in my chair feel seen, heard, and beautiful- I can’t wait to welcome you into my chair.
